We can only imagine how many millions and millions of people throughout the entire world have digestive issues. Imagine the food that we eat, on the shelves of refined and processed foods. Wow, all that stomach gas, reflux, GERD, bloating within your stomach, constipation problems, digesting your food due to lack of enzymes, and the list just continues to go on.
Although, here is something I’m going to share with you that’s going to make a tremendous difference for your gastrointestinal system. When I say make a difference, I am a perfect candidate because I demonstrated all of this that I’m telling you right now on myself.
When I had lots of gas, I would go right to this magic cure called fennel seeds. Now, many people are already cooking with fennel seeds as well as making fennel tea. But when it comes to gas, when it comes to spasticity of the stomach, when it comes to digestion, constipation, let me just tell you a little bit more.
You see, fennel seeds stimulate the secretion of the digestive juices. It helps improve your enzymes, so your enzymes are there for digestion. And it’s inflammation within our colon that sets up a whole vicious cycle of gas. It affects our microbiome, it affects our probiotics. This helps reduce inflammation, it helps soothe the lining of your colon, as well as your entire digestive tract.
Well, fennel seeds help increase the peristalsis with your intestine. It’s filled with fiber, and constipation is a major problem worldwide. Most people are not eating correctly, too many processed foods, not drinking enough water. And fennel seeds are packed with healthy fiber. We need that fiber because that fiber is like a prebiotic, it feeds our probiotics, and that’s what feeds your microbiome to keep that immune system strong.
And when we have those cramps in our digestive system, that’s because the muscles are squeezing, they’re spasming, and fennel seeds are known to relax those muscles. And if you’re having acid reflux, GERD, making its way up into the esophagus, it’s amazing how these fennel seeds can reduce the acid to help heal GERD.
And if you’re always feeling like you’re having that gas, like you want to explode, these fennel seeds help keep the gut pathogens in check because of the powerful anti-inflammatory properties. These fennel seeds can do wonderful things for our gastrointestinal system, as well as other systems in our body, by reducing inflammation. This has antifungal properties, has antibacterial properties.
What does that mean? That if you just take a little bit of fennel seeds and put it in your mouth and just start chewing on it, okay, I have some in my mouth now as I’m talking, just start chewing on it. This will help clean up your bad breath. This will actually diminish the bad bacteria in your mouth. These oils, that rich scent, really does wonderful things for the health and health of our entire body.
So what I recommend, you’ll take a quarter teaspoon or a nice pinch of these fennel seeds and start chewing on it when you feel that gas, when you feel that bloating, when you feel like something’s not working right. You can just take it and chew it normally. It will help speed up the peristalsis, it will help prevent constipation, it will get your gastrointestinal system working like you have no idea. I just went through this today and I put a few in my mouth, chewed on it, and about an hour later, I forgot I even had issues.
And everyone eats junk food from time to time, and many people are living on refined and processed foods. And you and I, we’re going to have that little upset stomach. Take a little bit of fennel seed, chew on it, really chew it, and then swallow it. That’s fiber. You’ll get those healthy oils out of the fennel seed that will do its work in our gastrointestinal system.
And you can also drink fennel tea. You’ll take about a teaspoon of fennel seeds, you’ll crush them up, put it in hot water in a cup, let it steep about 10 minutes. You can leave it in the cup, you can actually chew it after, or you can strain out the water, however you like. But that tea will also do wonderful things to help speed up the gastrointestinal system, to help get rid of that constipation, to help take away that acid. It’s very, very therapeutic for your gastrointestinal area, as well as your entire body, as I said before.
So, I challenge you. The next time you have that upset stomach, that gas, that acid reflux, take a pinch of these fennel seeds, start chewing it. I love the way it tastes, by the way. I think you will too. And swallow it. Get that fiber down your system. You can drink water with it, however you like, whatever feels right.
You will be shocked. Please share this video with your friends and family. Leave your comments below. And most importantly, make it a great day. I’m Dr. Alan Mandel.
